Bricks at chadwick?

Anyone who has gone to chadwick has probably seen the bricks that line certain parts of the trail like down by rattlesnake cave and other areas. What are these for? I am guessing errosin control.

All I know is on wet weekends they are slick when you have a lil mud on the tires.

Yes, they are for erosion control. The have taken a bull dozer down the main trail that goes from Cobb Ridge to the day ride area and are currently redoing it too!

Really? are they going to do more of thse bricks or leave it dirt?

I think Chadwick is the only place I've seen bricks like that. I think they mainly use them on the high traffic spots. Definitely seems to help with the ruts.

Some of the whops they create can be fun along the way.

I am not sure. One of my friends from Oklahoma that rides with us was there a couple weeks ago and was telling me about it.
