We are doing it again! Just like the [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.], but this time at Perry Lake ORV.

Quick show of hands -- who likes April 13 as a Perry Lake Work Day?

That's the #1 date we are considering with the Corps. The work will be primarily clearing trails, so chainsaw and throwing branches mostly. The Corps will provide gravel and a culvert if we get ambitious enough to build a better creek crossing. Still considering what equipment we need and could get to haul the gravel down the trails into the creek. I'm pretty sure we can get UTV's allowed for the work day if some of you are willing to put yours to work that day.

PLEASE reply to let us know your thoughts.

Note that the trails will be closed for normal recreation on the work day.

More info....we have the green light for folks to bring their side-by-side UTVs for the work day. The Corps will open the gate to allow these larger utility vehicles in that day---for working only of course.

For the creek crossing we hope to build, the Corps will look into how close they can get a gravel pile for us to use. Having some side-by-side's with utility beds to haul gravel will be very helpful--perhaps crucial to the project. Or perhaps some of you have a trailer you can pull behind your ATV.

Another project for the day is to string trim and spray the perimeter fence. The Corps has some string trimmers we can use and folks should bring their own gas-powered trimmers, too.

If we don't hear any good reasons NOT to do this on Sun, April 13, that is likely to get set in stone by tomorrow.  Smile
