Coalition for Recreational Trails to Recognize Outstanding Trail Projects Again in 2013
Once again the Coalition for Recreational Trails (CRT) is honoring outstanding projects that utilized Recreational Trails Program (RTP) funding with its annual achievement awards. If you know of a project that is worthy of consideration, please click here for further details about how to make a nomination.
Riders, volunteers, other recreationists and agency officials put in massive efforts to make sure that RTP funded projects are completed and that each of us have access to the finished product. This is our opportunity to make sure that these hard working individuals get the recognition they deserve. If you know of someone who worked hard on an RTP project, or if you were personally involved in a project click here for the nomination information.
Also, as you know, the RTP is a vitally important source of funding for trails that we must protect. You have joined ARRA many times over the past few years in fighting to ensure that the program was retained in the reauthorization process. The CRT awards ceremony honoring the outstanding projects will be held on Capitol Hill during Great Outdoors Week, and the annual event is attended by numerous Members of Congress every year, making this a valuable opportunity to make the case for continued RTP funding.
Thanks.
