Most people usually bring their own drinks. Looks like we will get some good weather for this weekend, so come on out guys and gals ought to be fun. Thanks for the effort Greg. cheers

Ok Everyone brings own drinks , Mighty has buns covered and Rick has chips and cookies so whatever anyone else brings is a plus. More chips and cookies Probably a good thing. I always bring a cooler of water. Weather is looking good for sunday so far. Ready to meet and ride. Just remember if you bring the soda pop with the foam on top the rangers will give you a ticket if they see it.

Thanks for all of your hard work and efforts in putting this thing together Greg!.....

Bryce and I will bring Chips & Cookies.

Dropped the truck off last night, so I should have it back by Sunday without any problems.

Just let me know if anything else comes up that we can cover too!

See you all there on Sunday!

The rules are posted in the parking lot at Perry.

Beware!!!!!!!.....The rangers have been known to write tickets if you don't follow them!

Are we going to try and set up in the parking lot?

Or, are we going to try and set up along the road as you enter into the parking lot again?

This is what I copied from their website today in regards to the rules:

The US Army Corps of Engineers has the following rules in effect for the ride area:

1.ATV’s & Motorcycles Only

2.An ATV is a motorized vehicle having a maximum width of 50 inches, designed for off road use, with handle bars for steering, and a seat that is straddled by the operator.

3.ATV’s & Motorcycles must have functioning brakes, muffler, & spark arrester.

4.Loading amp; unloading of ATV’s & motorcycles permitted only in the parking area.

5.Speed limit in the parking area is idle speed.

6.DOT approved helmets required for all riders.

7.One rider per ATV/Motorcycle.

8.Riding out of bounds, on maintained roadways/right-of-ways, in streams, and in other unauthorized areas is prohibited.

9.No alcoholic beverages or firearms in the riding area.

10.Operation of ATV’s/motorcycles while under the influence of drugs or alcohol is prohibited.

11.No overnight parking or camping.

12.The riding & parking lot area is closed at dusk.

13.ATV area is subject to closure during wet conditions or special events.

We could and try and use the shelter if its not taken. How about some slice cheese, ketchup, bbq sauce and mustard, any volunteers? I'll bring some paper plates also. If I can get the drag bikes cleaned up in time after sat. races might bring them out to show to the club.

Are they trail capeable as top one said about the one he was selling Rick lol. Sorry got to give top 1 heck about a 1000 gsx motor being a trail bike. lol I got roll of towels I'll get my crew to bring sauces and stuff like that. Jodie and Brett have gas expense for the grills so that covers them. If we can get the shelter that would be great. I'm planning on leaving St.joe about 8 takes about hour and half since atchison bridge still out.

Railroad Mike,
You are more than welcome to join in on the ride as it is a public ride area and I am sure there will be others there as well.

Perry Lake does not require a day pass and does not charge anything to ride.

I normally depart from Independence, MO
I-70 West (Toward Lawrence & Topeka)
7 Hwy North (Right) (Toward Lancing & Leavenworth)
24 HWY West (Left) (Toward Tonganoxie & Lawrence)
You will come to a "T" in Lawrence where you go North (Right) onto 59/24 HWY.
Keep on 24 HWY West (Past LeCompton)
You will come to a gas station on your right - Turn North (Right) just before the gas station
Go approximately 2-3 miles until you see another gas/storage facility on your left
Go West (Left) just past the gas station.
Go approx. 1.5-2 miles and you will see a sign on the North (Right) side of the road that says ATV riding area. Turn South (Left).
This will take you down the drive lane and into the parking lot.

YOU WILL SEE MY WHITE ENCLOSED TRAILER THAT SAYS MOKANRIDERS.COM IN RED

You are more than welcome to come, no pass needed for Perry, I think you can get directions off of Perry Lake web site. Hope to see ya there ! Well my bikes arent quite trail capable, but if I some mud tires to throw on them, lol. Sounds like its about all covered, going to try and show up around 8 30 or 9 00, who ever gets there first should try and get the shelter, maybe we could park down at the north end of the parking lot.

Mike, there is a section on here that has most of our phone numbers that all members can access. This just keeps anybody from doing a search on the internet and obtaining our phone numbers without actually being a member of the forum.

Mine is listed there as well and you are more than welcome to call me anytime as well.

Here is a link to the phone number:
