I just purchased a 91 Ford F250 4x4 and I want to be able to mount a fiberglass hood scoop to a steel hood since a new hood with scoop would run me about 530$. The problem is I'm haveing a rough time trying to decide which way to go. The first way is to rivet it on then go over with fiberglass or bondo but I'm worrried that later on it will crack or warp from heat and stress. The other way I was told is use a epoxy then fiber glass or bondo to fill in the seams and gaps and I'm worried I would be driving down the highway and it would fly off. The main reason im asking Im repainting the whole truck and I don't want the truck have a nice paint job and then the hood goes to crap on me. any help would be great thanks Nick R.

no Idea, I know I had a 88 Toyota 2 wheel drive pickup and had a Buick v-6 with a tunnel ram and 2 - 4 barrel carbs. on it when i was young (had to chain the engine down because it kept ripping motor mounts out) and it had a hood scoop riveted on it, I was on the back side of 435 in Kansas going towards Missiouri at 132 mph when it ripped the whole scoop off, lol............then i used a bucket to cover it when parked, lol sucked
